Title?

I uploaded your homework on Saturday 11th October. You had to watch and answer several questions on one of the films below:

You have all watched one of these films. So, now you can answer the following questions:
1.- What are they about? (pay attention to what your classmates say and take notes because you are going to answer the rest of these questions in a comment to this post!).
Whale Rider is about the baby who survives, Pai, a young Maori girl. After the death of her mother and twin brother, Pai’s father leaves home. She’s then brought up by her grandparents in a small village in New Zealand. Her grandfather is the chief of their people, and he’s obsessed with finding their new leader. He cannot believe that his granddaughter ever could. Tradition causes trouble in the family when Pai wants to take up what she believes is her rightful place at the head of her tribe.
Wadjda: 10-year-old Wadjda challenges Saudi traditions in a determined quest to buy a bicycle. When everything goes against her plans, she sees one last chance in her school’s Koran recitation competition and the prize for first place. It is the story of a girl determined to fight for her dreams in Saudi Arabia. She refuses to let the fact she’s a girl stop her from doing the things she wants to.
El laberinto del fauno: it is the story of a young girl who travels with her pregnant mother to live with her mother’s new husband in a rural area in Spain, 1944, after Franco’s victory. The girl lives in an imaginary world of her own creation and faces the real world with much disappointment.
Persepolis: Marjane is a young Iranian girl during the Islamic Revolution when the fundamentalists first take power–forcing the veil on women and imprisoning thousands. She discovers punk, ABBA and Iron Maiden, while living with the terror of government persecution and the Iran/Iraq war. Then she moves on to Austria where, as a teenager, her parents send her to school in fear for her safety. Marjane eventually gains acceptance in Europe, but finds herself alone and horribly sad, and returns to Iran to be with her family, which means putting on the veil and living in a tyrannical society….

2.- What do they have in common?
